Bringer of calm energy

& your most radiant self

About Natalie

There’s something about wedding morning that I think about a lot. You’re surrounded by the people you love most, your dress is hanging on the door, and the day you’ve spent months, maybe years, imagining is finally here.

As your makeup artist, I’ll be one of the very first people by your side that morning. That’s not something I take lightly. My job isn’t just to make you look incredible, it’s to make you feel completely at ease while I do it. Calm chats, a good playlist, maybe a sneaky Diet Coke and absolutely zero rushing. That’s the Natalie Boland experience.

About Natalie

Hi, I'm Natalie!

Soft glam specialist. Skincare obsessive. Lover of a clean aesthetic, a well-organised schedule, and that feeling when everything just

comes together.

When I’m not behind the brush, you’ll find me down a rabbit hole researching the latest skincare ingredients, exploring a stately home with my Australian labradoodle Dottie, or queuing for a rollercoaster somewhere in Europe and absolutely loving every second of it. I’m based in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, and yes, I really do love it out here.

I’m told I have a calm, grounding presence, which honestly feels like the biggest compliment in this industry. Wedding mornings should feel special, not stressful, and creating that atmosphere for you and your bridal party is something I genuinely love

When I’m not doing makeup, you’ll find me…

Researching a new skincare and makeup launches, through YouTube and going to play in store with that undoubtedly I’m about to become completely obsessed with

Wandering around a castle, stately home, or museum, history nerd and proud

At a theme park, probably on my fourth ride of the day and planning the fifth (Disney, Efteling, Europa Park, I take my escapism seriously and its great training for staying cheerful on your feet all day)

Exploring the Nottinghamshire countryside with Dottie, my very fluffy Australian labradoodle

Reorganising something that didn’t need reorganising

Fun facts - let’s do a vibe check!

1. I’m a details person through and through. Whether it’s a perfectly blended crease or a colour-coded schedule, I notice everything and that’s exactly what you want on your wedding day.

2. My kit is organised within an inch of its life. There’s a place for everything and everything is in its place. If that makes you feel better about handing your face over to me, good. It should. My kit is like my baby, I like to know where each of my products are at all times.

3. Not only have I trained at the prestigious Cassie Lomas Makeup Academy in bridal and special occasion artistry, before going on to master full-glam techniques at Plouise Makeup Academy. I've continued my education by attending masterclasses including with Hannah Martin (she was the makeup artist for Kate Middleton, now the Princess of Wales on her wedding day), Bobbi Brown Pro Artist Amy Conway and James Malloy (who does celebrity red carpet)

4. I’m a theme park obsessive, so much so that I was in a documentary that aired on Channel 4 in 2019 about Alton Towers and the construction/opening of The Wickerman rollercoaster at the resort. Plus I did the makeup with the prequel scaremaze, The Welcoming's promo video, where I spelt the name of the maze out on the back of a hand in the (at the time) unreleased runes that went with the ride!

5. I take my timelines seriously and my Diet Coke equally seriously. You’ll never find me with a coffee, but there will absolutely be a cold can somewhere in my kit bag. Don’t judge me, it’s practically a personality trait at this point.

My makeup love story

Finding my signature style: skin-first, softly sculpted, effortlessly elegant

My journey into bridal makeup started as a personal escape — a way to create, to focus, and to find something that felt completely mine. What I didn’t expect was how quickly it would become a calling.

I trained at the Cassie Lomas Makeup Academy, one of the most respected names in bridal artistry, and went on to expand my skills at Plouise Makeup Academy, mastering the kind of full-glam techniques that give you complete creative range while never losing sight of what a bride actually wants: to look like herself, only more luminous.

My signature style developed almost instinctively. Skin that genuinely looks like skin. Softly sculpted features that enhance your face shape, not a face I’ve decided you should have. Understated, elegant, and completely camera-ready. Timeless, not trendy.

That instinct for ingredients and formulation doesn’t stop when I’m off the clock either. I’m constantly researching what’s new, what works, and what’s worth the investment, so that everything in my kit has genuinely earned its place there.

Since launching Natalie Boland Bridal, I’ve continued to invest in my craft and build relationships with some of the finest venues and suppliers across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and South Yorkshire. Every bride I work with makes me better at what I do, and I’m endlessly proud of that.

My Professional Kit

My bridal kit is a considered edit of premium products chosen for one reason only, results that last all day and photograph beautifully at every moment, from getting ready to the final dance.

I’m constantly reviewing and refining what I carry, staying across new launches and formulations so you always get the best of what’s available. I carry a wide range of foundation and complexion products to ensure a flawless match for every skin tone and type, including for brides with more challenging skin concerns. Every lash application is fully customised to your lash line and eye shape, because the details are where the magic is.
